Honda HRC to Launch Global Racing School and Scholarship Programme in 2027

Honda HRC global racing school for young motorcycle riders
Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) has announced a new Honda Racing School & Scholarship programme that will begin in 2027. The programme is designed to develop young motorcycle racers and help them build a career towards the highest levels of international racing, including MotoGP.

Unlike a traditional training school, the new programme will be based around international racing, with a major focus on competitions in Europe. Honda wants young riders to gain international race experience from an early age and learn how to compete in a highly competitive environment.

Scholarship Support for Young Riders

The scholarship is expected to support selected young riders as they progress through international racing. HRC aims to create a clearer path for talented riders who want to reach the Grand Prix categories.

Honda says the change reflects how important international racing experience has become for young riders aiming for the top level.

Aiming for the MotoGP Path

Young rider development pathway towards MotoGP racing
The new programme will strengthen Honda's existing rider-development efforts. The ultimate goal is to discover talented riders early and help them progress towards Moto3, Moto2 and eventually MotoGP.

Honda has already been involved in developing young riders through programmes such as Honda Racing School Suzuka and Honda Team Asia.

The Honda Racing School & Scholarship programme will start in 2027, giving young riders a new opportunity to enter Honda's international racing development system.
