Russian Tourist Expelled From Vietnam After Dangerous Motorcycle Stunts

A Russian tourist has been permanently expelled from Vietnam after repeatedly performing dangerous motorcycle stunts on public roads without protective gear.

The 35-year-old woman, identified as Nikitina Iuliia, attracted attention after videos of her riding a Yamaha R15 and performing dangerous maneuvers circulated widely on social media. Authorities said she was seen kneeling on the motorcycle seat while riding through traffic without the required protective equipment.

What Happened?

The incidents took place on public roads in Khanh Hoa Province, including areas around Cam Lam and Nam Cam Ranh, between January and June 2025.

Several videos showed Iuliia performing stunts while riding the motorcycle, including kneeling and lying on the seat. The footage was recorded and later shared on social media, where it attracted significant attention.

Vietnamese authorities began investigating the case after the videos circulated online. Police later questioned Iuliia, who admitted that she was the person shown in the footage.

Court Orders Fine and Permanent Expulsion

The case eventually went before the Khanh Hoa Region 2 People's Court.

On July 24, 2026, the court found Iuliia guilty of disturbing public order. She was ordered to pay a VND 30 million fine, roughly US$1,155, and was also given a permanent expulsion order from Vietnam.

Vietnamese authorities completed the deportation process on September 15, 2026, with Iuliia escorted through Cam Ranh International Airport.

Why The Case Matters for Riders

Motorcycle stunt videos can quickly attract views on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and other social media networks. But performing stunts on public roads is very different from doing them in a controlled environment.

In this case, the riding was carried out around other road users and without protective equipment. Vietnamese authorities said the behavior created road-safety risks and affected public order.

For international riders, the incident is also a reminder that local traffic laws apply to tourists as well. Renting or riding a motorcycle abroad does not mean local safety and road regulations can be ignored.

A few seconds of viral footage may attract attention online, but dangerous riding on public roads can have much more serious consequences.
