Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Vulcan S in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹8.23 lakh. The updated cruiser gets a few important changes for the new model year, while most of its mechanical package remains unchanged.
The 2027 Vulcan S is now ₹10,000 more expensive than the outgoing 2026 model. Deliveries are scheduled to begin from mid-September 2026.
More Torque From the 649cc Engine
The motorcycle continues to use the familiar 649cc parallel-twin engine. For 2027, torque has increased to 62.4 Nm at 6,600 rpm, while maximum power remains around 61 bhp at 7,500 rpm.
The extra torque brings the Vulcan S back to the torque figure seen on the earlier version. The engine continues to work with a 6-speed gearbox.
Smaller Brake Rotors
One of the more noticeable mechanical changes is the braking hardware. The front disc has been reduced from 300mm to 272mm, while the rear disc has gone from 250mm to 216mm.
Dual-channel ABS continues to be available as standard. The suspension setup remains unchanged, with a 41mm telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload.
New Colour and Same Cruiser Design
For 2027, Kawasaki has introduced a Metallic Carbon Gray colour with subtle bluish-green highlights. Apart from the new colour, the Vulcan S retains its familiar low-slung cruiser design.
The bike continues with a 705mm seat height, 130mm ground clearance and a kerb weight of 235kg. Its analogue-digital instrument cluster and overall feature package also remain largely unchanged.
2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S Price
The 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S is priced at ₹8.23 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. With the torque update, revised brake rotors and new colour, Kawasaki has given its middleweight cruiser a modest update for the new model year rather than a major redesign.
