Bultaco has returned to the motorcycle market with the new Rally GT 300, a small adventure motorcycle aimed at riders looking for an affordable and practical bike for everyday use, highway riding and light off-road travel.
The comeback is significant because Bultaco was once well known for its trials, enduro and off-road motorcycles. Its original factory closed in 1983, and the brand has made previous attempts to return to the market. This time, however, Bultaco is coming back with a conventional petrol-powered motorcycle.
The New Bultaco Rally GT 300
The Rally GT 300 is a lightweight adventure bike developed through a collaboration with Spanish motorcycle manufacturer Leonart.
Under the skin, the motorcycle is closely related to the Leonart Rally 300, while the Bultaco version gets its own branding and design identity. The bike is manufactured in China but is being introduced under the historic Spanish Bultaco name.
Power comes from a 292cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with DOHC, four valves and Bosch electronic fuel injection.
The engine produces 28 hp at 9,500 rpm and 25 Nm of torque, with power sent through a six-speed gearbox.
Built For Everyday Adventure
The Rally GT 300 uses a perimeter frame, inverted front fork and rear monoshock. It gets disc brakes at both ends with ABS.
A 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel give the motorcycle a balance between road riding and light off-road use. It also offers 260 mm of ground clearance and a 16-litre fuel tank. The claimed weight is 150 kg.
The motorcycle also comes with modern equipment, including a 5-inch TFT display, full LED lighting and an integrated dash camera. The dash camera can continuously record riding footage in short loops, adding an unusual feature for a motorcycle in this price category.
Price And Availability
Bultaco has listed the Rally GT 300 at €3,999 in Spain, making it an interesting option in the affordable adventure-bike segment.
The first deliveries are expected in September 2026, with Spain currently being the confirmed launch market. Availability in other international markets has not been clearly announced yet.
Why Bultaco's Return Matters
Bultaco's comeback is interesting for more than just its famous name.
The motorcycle shows how historic European brands are increasingly using modern international manufacturing and partnerships to return to the market. Instead of trying to recreate one of its classic motorcycles, Bultaco is entering a growing segment with a relatively affordable 300cc adventure bike.
Whether the Rally GT 300 can turn Bultaco's comeback into a long-term success remains to be seen. For now, the historic Spanish name is back—and this time, it has a petrol-powered adventure motorcycle leading the way.
