Qatar is still preparing to host the 2026 MotoGP Qatar Grand Prix in November, despite continued uncertainty in the Middle East.
The race is scheduled to take place at the Lusail International Circuit from November 6 to 8, with the main MotoGP race on Sunday, November 8.
Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation president Abdul Rahman bin Abdullatif Al Mannai said preparations for MotoGP are continuing. He also said Qatar's airport is fully operational and the country is currently functioning normally.
The Qatar MotoGP was originally scheduled for April but was postponed to November because of security concerns linked to the regional situation.
The latest development comes after the World Endurance Championship cancelled its Qatar round, which had been scheduled for October 24. This raised fresh questions about whether other major motorsport events in Qatar could also be affected.
For now, however, MotoGP plans remain unchanged. Qatar says it will continue preparing and will keep monitoring the situation over the coming months.
If conditions remain stable, MotoGP is expected to return to Lusail in November for another night race under the circuit's famous floodlights.
